We are happy to report that the interview portion of the home study is complete!!! Just need to fix a couple documents and proofread some things and it should be complete in a few weeks! It feels really good to be making some notable progress!!! We were a little nervous how the hours of interviewing would go but we loved our social worker and that made things much easier! It was great to see how much she cares for the children all around the world and for the parents with loving hearts waiting to bring them home. God is working all around the world; it was encouraging to see the hundreds of kids and families lining her office walls that she has personally worked with to remind us that we're not alone in this and that we are part of a much, much bigger plan.
So, now of course on to more documents. But I am feeling like things are getting checked off the lists and we are inching closer and closer!!! Plus the next lists to do are more enjoyable for me - the mundane tasks of collecting documents, getting signatures, and filling out repetitive forms. I know I'm crazy but I get excited about completing detailed forms and tracking down documents and signatures. We saw through our conversations with our social worker just how much God has prepared us for this adoption through experiences we have had (especially with Addyson and Braden) and our personalities, like my nearly neurotic attention to detail. Another reminder that God knows what He's doing and isn't going to give us any more than He can help us handle!!!
